TIME TO PLAN YOUR GARDEN WITH YOUR CHILDREN AGAIN
It’s that time of year again - TIme to start planning this year’s garden with your children. If you look at the archives of my blogs, you can read what I wrote last year about the FUN-damentals of planning with your kids.
This year, if garden space is an issue, fear not. I received a neat catalog last week with some excellent accessories to help your efforts. The company has a website you might want to visit for everything you need for container gardening as well as some great ideas for vegetable support and trellises. If you are interested, visit www.gardenerss.com . I am thinking of buying a container for growing cherry tomatoes on the deck outside my kitchen. They also have given me some ideas for growing my herbs in a more manageable fashion and handy to my kitchen and my cooking.
The catalog and the website have other outdoor items too, like outdoor furniture, but it’s fun to see what new ideas have popped up to solve my garden problems, or the problems I didn’t even know I had!! Of course there is a lot there and elsewhere that neither I nor you will ever use, but it’s fun to see what’s new. Maybe it will give you an idea for something new that the rest of us will be buying some day.
So, take some time to sit down with your kids and plan your garden soon. It will give you an even more rewarding Summer season. Until next time, keep on smiling….it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to!!
